Another 77 fester.

I have a greater appreciation for the art of rhythm guitar after this one. hard to believe some of these tunes are 45 years old. They just don't sound like "old" songs to me.

Anyway... a fair bit of practice went into the guitar part, not bang on but close enough for me. Bass was easier ironically as it's only my 3rd bass guitar attempt ever I think!

Thin Lizzy is a great band, and although i've heard this song before i've never enjoyed it as much as i did when hearing this cover version. Mike has really got that Lynott sound down and the playing on this one is all kinds of wondeful!

The sounds and the mix work really well. Playing Thin Lizzy stuff is far from simple. The songs are filled with intricate details and the rhythms are often tricky. The band didn't play their stuff as straight as the bands that followed and were inspired by them. Brian Downey often kept things a bit "jazzy" and swingy...

You've done wonders here. You're clearly the main Thin Lizzy coverman here!

I agree with Zoltan.... you would be the perfect reincarnation of vocals for Thin Lizzy Next....
This is a superb cover Mike....
Your singing is the star for me but the music sounds great too...

Love this Mike..the guitars are more prominent than in the original which I think is an improvement !  Great playing and a cracking vocal !

Yes the Phil Lynot is uncanny. Don't know many Thin Lizzy songs outside of the singles but I really enjoyed this (you're going to tell me this was a single now, I expect).

Well constructed and proper good

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

I'm a bit of latecomer to the Thin Lizzy Appreciation Society. I never would have guessed this was one of their songs. Really nice production, and well played.

this actually might be Thin Lizzy... wouldn't be surprised... it's very authentic... if you want to get your ears and hair trimmed listen to "Emerald" really loud off the Jailbreak album...
