This one came to me really quickly, so last night i videod me doing it live in the kitchen in case i forgot it. https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?topic=32598.0
I didn't forget it i returned to it today. The bass guitar is only 3 notes but took me longer to work out that part than write the fucker last night.
It is what it is,
I just don't understand
I guess I never will
And even if I could
Would I really want to know
And so we go our ways
Tho our paths will often cross
And who will lift us up
When we fall
Down
I don't know
An awful lot
But I know things
I know what we got
So we can dance
And we can sing
Sing to the stars
Dance till the dawn
I don't know
An awful lot
But I know things
I know what we got
I don't know
An awful lot
But I know things
I know what we got

Very nice indeed James. I don't know how you do it regurgitating such nice lyrics en melody. !@006
I do have an electric bass and guitar, i do have an acoustic guitar. I even have a keyboard and a Roland drum set What I seem to miss is skills. So to cure my at least 40y frustration I dicovered my instrument being my voice. So I finaly had the nerve to take singing lessons and make my voice heared thanks to Songcrafters.

I enjoyed this song!
Lyrics are very original, and quite personal!
Good work!

Excellent song and recording, James - it all sounds nice and clear (especially the clarity from the mic on your vocal).

Well done!

Hello there,

PG here.. sounds just great.

You got the huskiness of Peter Gabriel.

Excellent.

I tend to agree with the Gabriel vocal feel.... that friggin killa bass is vey U2 imo.... and thats damn good imo...
Quickies are often goodies...born from spontaneity.  I like this one alot

Beautiful song James! The backing synths are so chilling as are the lyrics. Great vocals too!
