"Onward" is solely credited to YES bassist Chris Squire, who had produced a demo version of the song on vocals and piano and presented it to the band.

This song is requested by, and dedicated to Chris Sanchez, a good friend who helped me with my recording set-up. Chris has been introducing me to songs I have not listened to before, and this beautiful song is one that I missed, and now, love!!!

This song is dedicated to all peoples of the world that is missing a loved one, lost a loved one, looking to be loved, and for the stone-hearted people who do not know love!!!
Most especially to the people you love!!!

This is very well done Rene. It works perfectly with just the acoustic and your voice. I didn't remember this 1978 Yes song so I checked it out on youtube, to jog my memory. It is really a nice song and you've done it justice!

Hi Farrell,
Thank you so much for the lovely comments!
I was not sure how I would cover this song, requested by "studio".
I stuck to what I know, simple acoustic accompaniment, and "real-close" YES melody.
Respectfully,
Rene

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

I m a big fan of Chris Sq.... bass and vocally.... he was an enormous talent in both regards..... i would say most, many fans would credit vocals of Yes to the the great work of Jon Anderson...and he was superb.... but a bit of deeper looking into the band showed just what a great singer Chris Squier was....

I love your singing and playing as well Rene.... beauty!
