Can't Love No One Else

[Farrell Jackson]

A Led Zep style, slow minor blues by Joseph Rodriguez (all music) and Farrell Jackson (Lyric and vocal). It's a long song at just shy of 8 minutes so I had to reduce the song sample size to 112kps. I hope it sounds ok. Note on vocals: I've been gradually using less and less compression on my rockier lead vocals. I used zero compression here. To my ears, it lets the dynamics and nuances loose to sound more life-like. I also used a dynamic AKG mic with a foam pop filter., similar to an SM 58. I sang it the way I would perform on stage with lips touching the foam for the softer moments and pulling back for the louder sections.  I also added some delay with Audacity.

Great slow blues a la Led Zep. Marvellous guitar work and fantastic vocal performance. Production and musicianship is first class, Farrell but that vocal is the icing on the cake for me.

Well now... this is something. I've been listening to this on headphones while browsing the net. It is so good Farrell. What a great tune in classic Zep style. I doff my hat to Joseph for some outstanding music and well... that vocal. I don't want to overstate it but it truly matches the great man Plant to my ears. Wow...

I know that great singers usually have some really great musician friends as somehow these kinds of talents find each other.  I have enjoyed JR's guitar work whenever you've posted in the past along with your singing...it's like you have 3 bands plus your a solo act... i doubt even any of the superstars pulled that off..

Outstanding! I love this style and tones. Being a big LZ fan, it's right in my wheelhouse and as others said, matches or tops their work. Leads and vocals are top shelf for sure!
