TV Series...

So about 10 years ago when Netflix was really starting to take off an independent movie maker approached them with a pilot episode of a new series called The Nobody Man. The pilot was aired to much acclaim back in the day although in keeping with the strange plot of the show, nobody I have since spoken too has any recollection of such a show.

It concerned the central character Evan Sykes who while one day taking the dog for a walk in the hills came upon an unexpected swell of mist accompanied by an deluge of rain. He felt slightly dizzy during this episode and decided to make his way home.

As he walked home he started to notice certain features of the journey seemed out of place or different in some way, he just couldn't put his finger on it though. As he got closer to home he noticed one or two of the neighbours houses looked different too, painted differently to what he remembered. One even had an extension he had no recollection of seeing before. As he entered his own driveway his own house was completely different to how it had been when he left earlier too. Again, a totally different colour with different garden furnishings too.

He tried the key in the front door but it wouldn't open.

From this day forward Evan had a choice to make... to somehow try and fit into this new world and make a new start... or to make his way back to the old world he knew. But how!!?

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

the music is ethereal and inviting... kind of like that mist of white light that beckons the dying (as some have told upon returning to life)...
but that story is really interesting... now I hope you write the second episode, assuming this is the first..
I love stories like this!  Brilliant!

This track got me hooked from the start. Excellent production, Mike. Love that swirling accompaniment and the guitar soaring above with that stellar tone. Great work; well done.

Excellent theme, Mike - I could almost picture the opener that this would be the music for.

I agree, this is a perfect fit for the atmospheric sounds and the theatrical theme. Very tasteful use of the guitars, synth pads and percussion.

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.
