Big loss to music. I've always loved Vangelis, but he has left some amazing work with us. R.I.P.

Shit. No. Albedo 0.39 was one of the first albums I ever bought. They were advertising the lazarium on LBC with the track Pulsar and I loved the music. A great influence to me.
I only found out last week that he was in the early prog band APHRODITE'S CHILD - I will have to check them out. They come up on the various top 10 prog album lists.
RIP Vangelis

I was only familiar with some of his movie soundtrack work (specifically Chariots of Fire and Blade Runner) - his string sounds were truly iconic.

A great loss to electronic music and music as a whole.
