in the workshop set for a jazz session with friends, there was a song (that I didn't know), a standard "I've got you under my skin"...I did a classical cover, inspired by the Sinatra version

While searching and preparing on you tube i found a version by a french singer called Ben l'oncle soul ..i really liked this "soul" version of this old song and so i did a cover

Guitar telecaster 2 track, one track of VST Yamaha DX 7 , the final is with drums and bass BIAB

As the song is long I had to render it in MP3 Bitrate 128 Kbps (instead of the usual 192..I don't know if it alters the sound or not ? do you have any idea on that ?

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Great to hear this song done in a different style, it's really good. I did a reggae song, Armagideon,  earlier this year which was about 7 minutes long and I had to reduce the bitrate to make it small enough to upload to Songcrafters. I stiil have a copy of the original which was over 8MB and compared it to the one at the lower bitrate. To my ears, there was not much difference in the quality.

I think I'm married to the Blue Eyes version, but that doesn't diminish this. Has a great late night, smokey club feel.
