what is this about?  hmmmm...  dirty sunglasses, spankings, doing the right thing after you've done the wrong thing, mashed potatoes?
ultimately it's just rocking out... with my new Epiphone Nighthawk....

fun doing this.  3 rhythm guitar tracks, 1 bass track, Alesis Nitro drums, 2 sort of casio keyboard parts, stereo whistling x 2, 2 vocal tracks with various trickery on it.

I used every recording device I have on this.  The Boss BR for guitar and bass sounds, and a drum/bass track (erased) to keep me in time, all sent over to the Zoom L-20 by stereo wire, vocals recorded on the Zoom R24.... rhythm guitars mixed on the Boss, all else on the Bandlab...  Not a valid attachment ID.
In the light of day, you never would have caught my eye.  But when I put on these dirty sunglasses you look naughty to me.  Come on over here baby and lay across my knee.  Daddy gonna show you how I'll spank that butt.  I'll love you but I'll never treat you like a dirty slut.
You love me in the darkness but when the light comes on you scurry away like a frightened little bug.
Oh dang, here comes the exterminator.  He wants to put us  in the incinerator.  Just a second man.  I got a friend in Jesus, have you asked him about his plans?
Now I'm gonna teach you a lesson.  Show you love in the light of day.  I'm tired of playing naughty, I wanna show you to my mommy, come over for dinner, I'll make you my wife.   Get up and make me mashed potatoes and clean the floss between my toes.

Hi Stephen,
I am enjoying this recording.
The drums can be a bit louder in the mix.
The vocals sits perfectly.
And of course, the guitar solo is excellent!!!
Thanks for this.

I totally agree about the drums....got so caught up in all the rest I left them a bit lower than usual... which is odd for me as I love drums and often get them a bit hot.

More weirdness from the master of the genre.
The weirdest thing with this song is that here's a hugely commercial sounding song with megahooks buried underneath the swirly madness.
It's like Stephen was possessed by the sound, and was floating in the air looking like a starfish.

A hugely involving aural delight that never stops to breath.

Another great production from the eclectic maestro. That guitar work is stellar, Steve and love that bass sound. Maybe the drums could be a little higher in the mix ... not sure ... maybe if they were louder it would take something away from the song. All in all a cool freaky track!

DarrenG / The Devil's Toupee

Another awesome song, sounds a bit Iggy Pop or Bowie-ish. The new guitar sounds brilliant, I love all the guitar tracks on this, that lead is so cool. It's got a great groove and melody. Great lyrics as always haha! Oh and some cool drumming and bass.
