Quote from: 64Guitars on June 15, 2010, 07:56:29 PMBy the way, the guitar solo by Amos Garrett is just brilliant! If you haven't heard it,

yes that jazzy solo is great-always did like that too

I've had this one wrong since the early eighties. Even now I don't quite believe it. I now know what it's supposed to be.

The bit in the middle of 'The Cutter' by Echo and the Bunnymen...

"Watch the fingers close
Pineapples are cold..."

(It's actually "when the hand are cold")

Baby get it up - well that's what I sing anyway!

(KC and the Sunshine band - Baby give it up)

There's a comic that does this in his set and there's one about Rock Around the Clock - gonna have to listen to it now as I can't remember!

When the clock strikes 12 we'll poo our pants - it really does sound like it but apparently it's

When the clock strikes 12 we'll cool off then

Don't wait for high tide to wash it away :P:P:P

subtely evolved to ... wash you away :D

evolution of lyrics is a must, like... "the walls of change" sounds like "the halls of fame" or "the rules have changed"

errrr.

to find.... defined.... (similar meaning)
you cant see what you can't see (you can scream...)

cold... cruel...

I make it a practise whilst i am writting a song.... (i record, listen, evolve, rinse repeat....) to actually record a version with the MOST slurred drunked style lyrics (amazing how consanatns slip into each other and the subconscience hears diff. phrases etc...) great for workin a second verse etc..
PEACE muchiosiosios loviosiso all :D
