The end results are great! I'm intrigued by the process also. It wasn't that long ago when productions like these wouldn't have been possibly to do with such easy to use / obtain tools. I wouldn't think of Iphone while listening to this song, or soft synths for that matter either.

I remember reading computer music magazines in the 90's and early 2000's and the first Vsti instruments were then seen as groundbreaking (and were for the time), but were most often crude and sterile. This song has swirly pad sounds that bely their roots. Of course it's the songwriting, skill, the vocals and acoustic guitar playing that bring it all together, but every part of the song fits in a natural way.
