An upbeat song for a downbeat scenario.

Epiphone Les Paul, Ibanez bass, GB drums, Model D MiniMoog (phone app), vocals. All mixed and recorded on the MBR.

fire engines thick with dust
we'll never be a tinderbox
we sip our tea and tut at clouds
mindless primetime on tv
a brand new plague on channel 3
though provocation not allowed

banality sundae
knickerbocker boredom in the valley of the dead
banality sundae
just hundreds and thousands of rain instead

when the sun won't show her leg for you
a flash of her ankle will have to do

foxes in the chicken coop
the blood and feathers of the truth
swept beneath the carpet on the news
kicking tin cans down the road
go straight to jail do not pass go
the tedium - it lays like snow

banality sundae
knickerbocker boredom in the valley of the dead
banality sundae
just hundreds and thousands of rain instead

when the sun won't show her leg for you
a flash of her ankle will have to do

Wow , what a clever song. Really lush backer, full and forceful with a poppy gloss and fabulous vocals/lyrics. Well done brother.

first off it's that Green Green Greatness again... it's the classic fields of Greeny sound that I so admire....
great work all over... sounds like maybe there is a new effect on the guitar?

how do you get the minimoog off the phone to the MBR?

Cheers. Anything external (GarageBand, synth apps etc) go straight into the MBR via Line In. It just needs a 3.5mm to 3.5mm Jack lead. The MBR automatically records it as two panned stereo tracks, but if it's just one element, I'll record to one track in mono. You can also record film sounds and dialogue etc like this. In theory, GarageBand can accept and use other apps, but I've found it to be very hit and miss.

There's a univibe going on this. I have a nice multi fx pedal which does phase, flange & vibe.

I'm just in love with the verse. Punk-ish, if it wasnt so melodic, but I think I heard you quasi-change your singing style somewhere in the beginning to half-spoken

Great song as usual - and I love the imagery of the lyrics.  Marvelous.
