Hey Guys!  :)
I know it's been a little while and I've been with non music projects the past two months.  I'm anxious to get to your tunes which I will in a bit.

On Easter I upgraded my Reason 7 to Reason 12, which I've been wanting to do for a few years but never got to, so I have many more features at my disposal.  I also caught wind of a vocal synth program called Emvoice One.  Some here may have hear of it.  You type the notes into it and then the lyrics you want and it sings for you. It's still a bit robotic, but for the money, it's very impressive.  This is a project I've done between Reason 12 and Emvoice to familiarize myself with both.  For those familiar with my style you'll find it's quite different than most of my past things but I hope you'll enjoy it anyway.  Emvoice "Jay" is singing lead.  I'm doing harmony in the last verse.

Hope doomed from the start
Worlds tearing apart
Standing at the door
Spitting on the wall

Blood spots on the moon
Nobody's immune
The reaper's coming soon
There's blood on the moon

Blood spots on the sun
No time to be won
The slaughter has begun
There's blood on the sun

While the EMvoice is robotic it fits the music very well sounds like you have a handle on the new software very nice brother

Hi Johnbee,
Lovely music.
I like the beat and the lyrics are very interesting.

Greeny

There's a mysterious oriental feel to the synth melodies and percussion, and I especially liked that piano breakdown and synth section in the middle. The synth voice works well too. It's a very interesting and cool track.

Hook

Quite different then your usual, a little dark and sinister...I dig. The vocals are very convincing, strange...amazing what is available for us to create with.
Rock on!

Godinqc uses EMvoices on most of his tracks... https://songcrafters.org/forum/index.php?msg=383246

is a good example.  I like it because it's different.  Yours sounds somewhat similar not exact though.
First off John I could not have in a hundred years guessed this track is yours it is so different than what you do but it is really good... to be honest in spots it reminds me of ChapperZ s great work on the instrumentation.
good experiment on it's own.  For me it is perfectly wonderful to go off on tangents musically... you will emerge somewhere beyond with another palette of sounds to use in your song creations.

Hi, TPB, Rene, Greeny, Hook and Stephan.  Your comments and your time to listen are appreciated.

I'm a bit frustrated in that I haven't yet gotten to the point where it sounds like this:

There is some manipulation that I have to learn through practice.  I did bend some notes but not enough, but I think the program has potential especially if this example in YouTube shows what can be done if you know what you're doing.  I have a ways to go on that though.  Thanks again.

Something different from you!

I'm loving the mystical atmosphere of this. That voice synth is cool!

Great job with the composition, too!

Great to hear that you're back! One of the classiest songwriters on Songcrafters. This is a dark and eerie sounding track, and quite different than the stuff i'm used to hearing coming from you. The first half of the song sounds almost too "simple" when compared to your other compositions, but it doesn't take long for the harmony to develop further and leave hobbyist like me on the starting line :)

Cool song. The voice synth is ok, but you'd do even better with your own voice!
