The days have been a bit of a whirl and i haven't been able to play at all. I salvaged this old song and at first i wasn't sure about uploading it...

This one is an old song from 2007 (or 2008). I remember that when recording the song i had problems with latency (usb microphones, obsolete computers). The bassline was recorded thru Johnson J-Station. I didn't manage to find the proper mix anymore, but i managed to salvage the song by doing some cutting (There was an extra verse that changed the storyline. It was just improvised stuff and didn't belong). Then i tried some mastering tricks and that's that.

The original idea was to do an update on the Mrs Robinson theme. Things escalated and the lyrics went a bit further than intended. Musically i had images of romantic literature running inside my head. Castles, men in thights etc. and i tried to convey that feel with those small melodies.

sounds like an REM track with a bit of a different vocalist...sounds great... nothing wrong with this recording result...sounds really good and a good fun song... there is something familiar with this vocalist... it sounds a bit like British records I heard through the years... this is so much fun...
so i suppose there is something good come of you not being able to play...

this is a great production...you obviously know what you are doing...

btw I hope you are ok and can get back to playing soon.

What a riot! ;) The music here is so upbeat! Love the lead lines here and the recording is excellent. Fun track

What's colourful picture you paint here. It's like a subplot from the Sweeney.

That's a brilliant song though. Thanks for sharing.

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Cool production and great fun with those lyrics. Love the cockney accent and that guitar solo that takes the song out is excellent.

All said and done, I think it sounds wonderful... mixed well, produced well.
The groove has that infectious quality of S & G's "Mrs. Robinson".
Hats off to you, I think you did a swell job.

I played this one earlier and made a mental note to listen again and comment. This put a big smile on my face. I love the seedy lyrics they are very amusing. Great idea to give it that cockney accent, very funny and very cool!
