This one and the next are my favorites on this album, both John Oates songs. I really thought this one was gonna be difficult. If you tried to play the acoustic guitar part I think it would be quite difficult but the actual bones of the song are pretty simple. Only 2 left.

Going from: Hall & Oates? Who are they? To ... Hall & Oates & Hook! Yes i know those banjo boys. Cool musings and vocals to boot!

At somepoint i'll need to up my game and check the originals too. For now these will do.

You manage to do a lot with this barebones arrangement.

Hall and Oats have a couple songs that are big favorites of mine.  You listen to such a large volume of music where as I tend to listen to things a gazillion times and that limits the volume I consume.  Maybe you do listen to one album literally a hundred times like me but songs like this I never heard.
However, you cannot get a better song in my book than "Sarah Smile"....

I am quite sure a promoter could put you in front of a thousand people with various instruments at your disposal and totally off the cuff you could entertain for an hour or more without any problems...
that is real talent my friend!

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Beautiful cover Hook. I don't know much Hall & Oates outside of the late 70's/early 80's hits (I didn't even know they were making music as far back as '72!) but this is a lovely track. Very cool to hear you playing banjo here too, sounds great. Excellent!
