My old mate Pipes asked me many months ago if I fancied doing a cover of this beautiful ballad by UFO.  Nick and I have always been fans of UFO - and Michael Schenker has been a bit of an influence on me - so I eventually got around to doing it.  I sent Nick the basic piano guide and he sent me his marvelous soulful vocal.

I then did a bit of a production on it.

Piano was from the Arturia v collection.
strings were played on keys using a mix of various Spitfire vst libraries
Bass was played on a keyboard using Trillian
Guitar parts were played on a Fender strat through an axefx2

Hope you enjoy.

This one of those WOW tracks gentlemen! The piano is lovely Paul and Nick's vocals are perfect to my ears. The Strat harmony parts are very well played. They don't have the typical Strat tones I'm used to hearing but they are very nice, regardless. The following Strat solo is awesome! A pro sound all the way on this UFO cover project!

Thanks Farrell.  It's a HSS floyd rose luxe strat,  so I guess it's not traditional. I'll post a photo sometime. I got it last year as a present to myself after completing  my cancer treatment. Any excuse to get a new guitar!

Schenker was a nutcase too,and Pete Way was a bit of a piss artist too.  But great songs.

Must admit to knowing nothing by UFO, but this is a well-played and sung version. Love the sound of the pian and strings and the guitar work is excellent !
