Hi people,

It has been a very long time.

My muse has been sidelined, beaten up and squashed by covid.

Anyway, I have thrashed out something and have posted it here. You can almost hear the rust falling away as I play through this.

Thanks to anyone who gives it a go.

Edit: I did a quick remix and tried to fix up the drums a bit. I am slightly more happy with it.

Ian

Touching lyrics.  Has a Jethro Toll vibe - at least to me.

The music is lovely and warm.  The vocals are really nice.  Sounds like a lost 70's pop rock track, something that came to the US radio from the UK.  It's a comforting sound.
I can tell the lyrics are personal and kind of a song of mourning.  Powerful.
glad you got to post this and make a new song.

Ian, these are beautifully touching lyrics, and your performance of the chorus is especially outstanding.

That falling rust sounds very nice.  :D  Touching song. Great vocals and nice, soft guitar sound.

Welcome back Ian. This is a very touching and fragile song for these dark / strange times. I can hear the Jethro Tull echoes too, but it seems to cross all kinds of genres to find it's own niche. There's something really moving and real about it. Fine work!
