Well, to some maybe a bit of self indulgent widdling, but I would have to disagree. To me this is a deep piece of psychedelic time travelling. I would gladly listen to an album of this kind of thing. Guitar sounds great and what? 60 dollars?? You sure the guy didn't make a mistake on the price. If that was me I would have bought it too... and made a hasty exit from the shop in case he changed his mind! :)

A true bargain, Stephen. Lovely psychedelic sounds on this track and great photo too BTW! Hope the car troubles get resolved soon.

What a sweet, trippy ride. Great overlapping layers of drifting goodness. The guitar sounds great! Definitely a bargain.

I do love a bit of a widdle, Stephen!  This is great and it certainly seems that you have picked up a cool strat there.

A real steal on the Jay Turser Strat Stephen! It sounds nice and clear in the mix. The song has some trippy sections, like the strumming rhythm guitar that is constantly moving...cool!

Interesting piece - I do enjoy a guitar instrumental that explores unexpected sonic territory. Reminds me a bit of Durutti Column. And your new guitar sounds fab.

I don't know who Jay Turser is, but he's probably friends with Harley Benton, Glen Burton, and Leo Jaymz. They should start a band!  ;D

But seriously, these Made in China guitars offer really great value for the money (most times). I remember my first electric guitar was a pawnshop Cobra Telecaster copy (made in Japan) and it cost me $120 in 1978 dollars. It was painful to play (and probably could have been set up to play better, but that was way outside my ken at the time).

Think about it: It's really a great time for kids who want to pick up the guitar - they can get a good quality instrument for very little money these days. And guitar setup info is out there for the searching on the Interwebs, if they're so inclined.

yes Cuthbert, based on all the stores and the proliferation of the internet sales I am guessing more people are playing than ever, or at least more people actually buy them... I am glad to see people playing as sometimes it seems as if computer generated stuff is taking musicians place... I don't know much about set up either, i can string up and could solder a pot or something.  When it comes to mechanical setup i probably could do it but don't like working on stuff that much... I would rather just play it!

You can do both! A well set-up guitar is a joy to play.
