Reptilia (Strokes Cover)

Thanks everyone for your input.
I wasn't sure about the vocals to start with, although I've got used to them now.
The story goes that as my wife hates my singing voice, I can only try & record anything when she's off out shopping. 
Whilst recording this song, I'd just got through one take, when she came back early ... hence ending my vocal session !!
I bet The Strokes never had this problem!!

The only thing I miss is the guitar melody in the chorus, when the vocals come in.

I tried & tried to get the chorus line right, but to no avail.
I'm just a Guitar George.
In the end I invented my own rhythm part for the chorus, then had a stab at a simplified solo.

It reminds me of Joy Division, the vocals and that guitar riffage, the bass.

This is weird, 'cause I really like Joy Division. In fact when I first started playing (bass) I wanted to be Peter Hook. 
I'm thinking of doing a Joy Division cover next. Can't make up my mind between Transmission and She's Lost Control

In true Blue Peter tradition ... here's one I prepared earlier.
This time it's a version of Reptilia by The Strokes.
Seeing as no-one here will have heard it, I thought I'd share the pain!!

Guitar - Danelectro 56 Pro, Schecter PT Diamond.
Bass - Westone Concorde I
Vocals - Behringer XM850

In this version I tried to distort the vocals & bury them somewhat in the music.
I didn't entirely succeed, but I quite liked the outcome anyway.

Dont know the original , but this is great , really solid , and one thing is for sure , if its a toss up between your vocals and the wife , then you know the wifes a goner ( only kidding )  everything about this is excellent , 5*****
