A hymn to chance.

It is what it is.

All the colours you dream
And the words that you breathe
The web that you weave
Do you have enough time
And the nonsense you spout
From the soles of your feet
Are you singing the blues
Because you just heard the news

Well there you go
It makes no sense
But everything's
So beautiful
And I can't tell
Just how it works
It makes no sense
It's beautiful

Can you tell me your name
Though I don't need to know
I'll forget it again
Just like yesterday
And the way the words work
As you push them around
Making sense from the shapes
It's a mystery

Well there you go
It makes no sense
But everything's
So beautiful
And I can't tell
Just how it works
It makes no sense
It's beautiful

It's all down to chance
This whole world chance
Everything chance
You and I chance

Well there you go
It makes no sense
But everything's
So beautiful
And I can't tell
Just how it works
It makes no sense
It's beautiful
Beautiful

The bass is magnificent for starters. It all just flows along in blissful ambience, and the mix is as beautiful as the title. Lovely stuff!

StephenM

reminds me of a Kenneth track with you singing on it... lovely

Very cool track. Like this one a lot.

I'm kinda thinking you're maybe ALWAYS writing/recording for a psychedelic fest! ;D :D

HAhA! I think you could be correct. Certainly my lyrics are heavily influenced by Robyn Hitchcock for a guid while now..

I only found out about Robin Hitchcock in the last year or two. I stumbled upon him on YouTube talking about Syd Barrett. He is very good.

Great track ORH... just a great vibe, washes right through you. I love the Bass too, holds down the whole thing really nicely.
