This reminded me of a few things you may want to hear:

Beatallica: Four Horsemen
They are an incredibly skillful, hilarious, and simultaneous butchering of The Beatles and Metallica.  This is just one of their gems.

801: Tomorrow Never Knows
This is my favorite cover of this song.  801 was a short-lived collaboration between Brian Eno and Phil Manzanera, with some amazing backing players.  This bass part by Bill MacCormick was very influential on my playing.

The Fab Faux: Tomorrow Never Knows
The Fab Faux is Will Lee's Beatles cover band that attempts to reproduce live versions of songs the Beatles never did live.  Looks like they'll be in LA in October.  Road Trip!
