Living in the Past, Jethro Tull cover for 1972 fest

One of my top choices for the '72 fest. I have previous when it comes to 5-4 time signature and I'm a sucker for flute so this song ticks a lot of boxes for me.

Now I don't have any resources that would get me a passable Tull flute track, so I went with the Mellotron flute.  Also we have scruffy guitar (telecaster) and a bunch of other stuff. To be fair it's done my head in over the last week or so. It's all come together today though with the guitar and vocal though. Now I'm happy with it.

The lyrics are actually particularly relevant to both this fest as well as to current world events

This song reminds me of my early high school stints, and I love your version.
Thanks for sharing.

Nicely done.
The instruments and the vocals are excellent.
You definitely gave justice to the song.
Well done.
