Here we go......

After looking all over the internet I can't find a solution to my problem.  I'm recording a track straight into Audacity via the Micro Boss and I want to hear myself as I record....

However, there is a slight lag between my real time playing and what I hear through my headphones.  How can I cancel out this lag??

HELP ???

P.S My sound card is a Realtek HD Audio

The "soundcard" you're using is NOT a suitable one for recording. What you need is a "zero latncy" sound interface, such as M-Audio, Line6, a decent soundblaster or whatever. The Realtek is just a really really cheap chip, consumer-grade.

Why not record directly onto the Micro BR?????

Maybe just use the headphone out from the MBR to monitor yourself~ and keep the volume(PC speakers) on Audacity all the way down until you're ready for playback......

Shouldn't be any lag coming through the MBR~if you have it chained like I'm thinking....

Yeh I normally do but I was just fiddling around.....Exporting 4 tracks takes a while and I was looking for a short cut :P

Kody: The headphone slot on my Br is being used by my line out cable which connects to the PC.:(

Have you tried the BR Wave Converter? It can export your tracks much faster than the Micro BR can. And it can export multiple tracks in a single batch operation. You can connect the Micro BR to your PC via USB and BR Wave Converter will recognize it as an external storage device. Or, for even faster exports, remove the SD card from your Micro BR and put it in a card reader that's connected to your PC via USB 2.0.
