This is why I love this site so much......  :D

I begged for some fresh Bass tracks for me to practice over Ferryman and Wiley both posted excellent tracks........ 8)

https://songcrafters.org/community/post-your-mp3-collaborations-only/just-for-you-48-since-i-owe-you-big-time!/msg24082/#msg24082

JimiO and AndyR both posted their takes...... 8)

I love Tin Guitars so I asked AndyR to remix his excellent "BigDog" Blues to use as a practice backer...I have been using it for a while and then I passed it onto Greeny to see if he fancied a vox.........

All that was left a space for some dirty double stops.... ::)

So I present  " I wasn't built to last"
on Bass: Wiley
on Reso Guitar: AndyR
on Vox: Greeny
0n 50$ Strat: 48

I love the way Andy and Tim built the ending up and of course I had to follow ;D

Note to the "48 All Stars"...this is an example of the turnaround I have sent you
(if anybody else wants it please mail me ;))

Now this is really good guys/gal, holy man this is the blues, pure blues.  This would be a #1 hit on an all blues station.  Perfect combination of instruments, talents, feeling, great vocal from the man.  This one is built to last.  Top stuff.  Perfection really.  Good frigging job.  I am getting in the blues mood here big time.  For the Neilfest, I am going to take one of Neil Youngs folky songs and redo it as an acoustic blues, just because I feel inspired by this post.  First the 48 all stars posts, then the 8 guitars blues jam post, and now this, the icing on the cake, I am full on inspired right now.  Thanks for the excellent blues for a Saturday morning everyone to inspire me for the whole weekend.

WOW, a stunning collab. As Bluesberry says, this sounds like the blues big time! I loved Andy's original track, this has taken it to a new level all round., Great blues bass, blue guitars and blues vox. Excellent stuff, I definitely need a lie down now with all this excitement in one day! This fourm just fgoes from strength to strength.

Well done again, this is really good.

Cheers,

I agree.  The collaborations always produce a smile.  This track is really well put together.  I especially love the in-your-face wooly tone of the bass, and the resonator guitar is a great touch.

Nice.

Great collab guys ( you don't mind being called one of the guys, do you PJ??? ;D).
This should really be listened to at about 2am in a smoke filled drinking den, but hey, anytime'd be good!
I always say, if I can leave somebody happy and smiling at the end of the day-----I've completely f*cked up!!

Wiley

Each I time I hear what someone did to that simple bass track, just WOWS ME!!!  I wasn't expecting this at all. All the parts do come together. And I do love that slide it is just excellent!!   Greeny you are just so amazing to come up with such awesome words. AND last but not least you 48 are a true inspiration to learn more blues techniques.   What a great post to come home and see.!! Thanks guys.

Excellent work on this one guys! Real John Mayall kind of sound to it. Great playing by all.
There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Greeny

WOW! I love this finished version so much! It's amazing how much 48's guitar adds to this. It was a real treat to hear it as a complete, finished track. I really enjoyed working on this one - AndyR's slide and Wileys bass track were a hot combination in their own right, so it wasn't hard to get into the blues spirit and come up with some words and vox. The last verse finale really works now - just a great combination of everyone doing their thing!

Thanks for the invite, 48!!!!
