Back in the day when I recorded to tape on a four track it was dead easy to turn the tape upside down to get some backwards guitar. so yesterday i tried to do the same thing digitally, I was a bit drunk and it was very laborious so that project got ditched. So i was messing about in garage band and discovered you can actually reverse your track at the click of a button, that was me away, this came out the other end.

It is what it is.

I couldn't tell if I was awake or if I was still sleeping
Everything seemed real but somehow strange

But I was having so much fun

Vocals recorded on the MicroBR
Then back into garageband and put through a 60s style vocal phase effect

I always love backwards guitar (I used to do the same trick with my old Fostex cassette multitracker). Combined with the purr of your vocals, this is some dreamy, psychedelic stuff. Very catchy chorus, too.

I love it. That fab bass riff really pins it all down. Some great sonic stuff going on, but it's the song itself that is an infectious beauty. The guitar solo section is bloody delightful too.

I remember taking cassettes apart and reversing the spool to get a backwards sound. I didn't think it was possible on GarageBand, have just discovered how though. There goes my weekend, lol.

The words fit the music perfectly...it does all sound like a dream and that is so cool! The bass line holds it all together well and the guitar solo section adds to the dreaminess of the song...well done for the Psychedelic Fest!
