Epiphone Casino GAS satiated

Despite a world-wide shortage of Epiphone Casinos (Covid supply chain issues + Beatles Get Back demand), I managed to get an Epiphone Casino Coupe, and I absolutely adore it. I've been using my Hofner Verythin semi for the best part of a year, so was already going down the 'hollow' track. This is fully hollow and it sounds amazing. Plus it's basically an acoustic guitar unplugged. I've had it pretty cranked and no feedback so far - unlike the Hofner which would squeal with a Big Muff and Overdrives on.

My favourite and main guitar now.

Very pretty I had a big Kona 365 that I used to love it was big though sadly traded it to a jazz musician for some cash and a Variax 700 guitar

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Very nice. Epiphones are quite good. p90 pickups are really great sounding.  Extremely versatile. Enjoy.

Tim, I fully understand your adoration for the Epiphone Casino as I've enjoyed mine for years (btw it looks just like yours). The P90 pickups have an excellent sound which is sort of between a single coil and a humbucker. The full hollow body really brings out the sustain and growl. If you haven't tried it with a slide yet, give it a go because they work well together. Yours is a beauty and I'm sure it will get many of years of use. Congratulations and I look forward to hearing it! Btw, I didn't know there was a shortage for them. Thanks for the info.

Funny you should mention slide - I tried that last night for a 1972 fest entry. Yep - it's a beautiful guitar for slide!!!!

I can't imagine you with anything but a hollow body. Maybe it's your avatar.

Congrats! That's a real beauty - love the sunburst. The Coupe model has a slightly smaller body, if I remember correctly? Can't wait to hear it.

I picked up a '96 Casino in black toward the end of the first pandemic year (my first guitar with P90s). Going into a Vox Pathfinder, it really nails those 'Revolver' tones!
