That is really funny Satch, shredding with a slide, I never heard of that before.  It sure sounded good what Geir played whatever you call it.  Or were you referring to the guest (Horny Harold) as Mr G?

I have listened to this about a hundred times this weekend, I really love how it turned out, if flows really nicely, one man and his axe, into the next one.

Geir

Quote from: Ferryman_1957 on June 13, 2009, 05:17:06 AM..... and Geir miscounted the start of his slot, leaving a gap between him and Bluesberry. So I asked Horny Harold to step up and fill the gap as a guest artiste, which he did somewhat feebly as it was very late at night and he's a bit rusty!
Sure glad I did that miscounting  :D ... wouldn't be the same without dear Harold!! And what a fantastic ending !!!!!!!!! Blew me away for sure !!

OH this was just great!!   I was hoping, well never mind.  It was just wonderful. Maybe sometime in the future I will be able to join in on these collabs.  Have been patiently waiting for this. Great job and hats off to all of you.!!

Greeny

Good grief, this is mind-blowing. I was in seventh-heaven listening to this. There's so much guitar talent on this forum, and this is just a little showcase for some of those awesome skills. It's beautifully put together, Nigel - so sterling work on that alone. Brilliant playing everyone! I made a wise choice not to sign up... on this evidence it will be a while before I can do myself justice. INCREDIBLE!

Had to take another listen!!  Bump!!

Believe me, I think we all shreaded some blues on here ~~~ each in our own kinda stylish rippin way!! Even the keyboards were awesome - kind of broke it up nicely!!

I really dig the way you wrap up the song - great ending Nigel!!!

I just listened again and I can't believe how great this turned out.  We have to do more of these things.  I play them for everyone and tell them where everyone is from and people just can't believe it is possible. Great job to all of you. And Nigel for getting it all together.

There's a bit more to come - I'm just redoing the version to include Kody's new solo, will probably finish off tomorrow as i need to get to bed soon tonight....

Thanks for the kind words Tommy, I had a blast working this out! I should probably play more guitar.....

And as usual, 48 was the inspiration for us all, I just helped pull it all together, which was great fun. We will definitely do more!

Cheers,

Nigel

Kody

Cool, Nigel....Thanks for putting in the time for me.  I wish I would have got it right the first time!!  And that ending is the best piece of guitar playing I've ever heard on this site....and I've heard some great playing, but that was just sharper than a two-edged sword!!
