Caution:  This is very crazy bizarre.  Mike sent me the music.  He said he had it a couple years and wanted to know if I wanted to do something with it.  There was a title of "Lab Rat Is King" so that got me thinking (which is generally not a good thing with me).  As I listened to the music I envisioned a man living in asylum prison where he is awaiting the possibility of the death sentence.  There are forces at work attempting to rehab the man.
His view of it all is a bit different than there's.
(I'm immune to the consequences.  I cannot feel the pain they intend.  Instead I look at them and laugh.  It makes their heads explode.
Inside a white padded cell, they gave me a jacket of white.  They want to sanctify me.  With their sychobabble talk.
They try needles, pills, and gels.  Some have tried to penis me.  Another tried to coax me to suicide.  They think I'm they're lab rat.  They don't know I rule them.  I am their king.
I rule their thoughts and actions.  They try to fix me.  Tiny minds, fixed on me.  What they don't understand is there is no understanding me.
LAB RAT, ME LAB RAT, LAB RAT ME LAB RAT, ME KING ME LAB RAT
Their doctors interview me.  Up my dosage of electricity.  All it does is fuel my eccentricity and causes their anxiety.
A few of the shrinks now reside in the asylum with me.  They want to crack my code.  As they try I see their heads explode.
I notice the barber chair.  They gonna cut my hair.  They gonna shave my head.  Finally give me my new crown.  Pump me full of mega volts thinking it will make me fry.  Instead it will make me fly.
My spores released into the atmosphere.  My spores released into the atmosphere.
My reign of terror has begun.  Crown me, crown me, crown me I have won.
Fuel, fuel, fuel, fuel    I have won, I have won, I have won.
I give birth to my spore babies.  I give birth to my spore babies.  I infiltrate the ventilation system and climb into the windows of your mind.
LAB RAT, ME LAB RAT, LAB RAT ME LAB RAT, ME KING ME LAB RAT (Fuel)

This is insane and awesome.

I could do a cover of this one, perhaps with more of a Marilyn Manson orchestration and perhaps some metal, screamo and rap lyrics.

Spores. I am dead. This is fab.

WOW! I saw the title the other day but was too busy to listen.

Then I read your blurb and thought "er..."

Now I'm listening... WOW, love it.

Is just a piece of paper
To say a few lines
Make up my mind
So she can read it later

The voice(s) sounded familiar. Stephen is moonlightning under a different moniker? Mike is hiding... from what?
This could easily turn into something in the vein of Marilyn Manson like WarpCanada suggest, or something in the style of Alice Cooper.

There are dark undertones happening while the overall moods is still mostly on the upside. If that makes sense. I don't think it does :)

This song is weird and made me smile.

Hehe... kudos to Steve. Nobody I don't think could pull this kind of insanity in a vocal off quite the way he does. It's a unique style, madness and comedy in equal measure. Fantastic.

Oh and yes, it is true I did have this track around for a long time. I never quite let it go, even after several failed attempts at turning it into a proper tune. I liked the fact it was different, off kilter, but it was too much for me. So maybe a bit unfairly I asked if Steve could do anything with it, but by jimminy he pulled this slab of beautiful mayhem out.

Absolutely bonkers but brilliant at the same time! I love the crazy dissonant chords here kinda reminds me of something Sonic Youth and Swans would have done. And Stephen, the subject is PERFECT for this. I can't imagine it going any other way, you fully went down the rabbit hole of insanity for those 4 and a half minutes. I'm looking forward to hearing more from the "band"!
