It's an all out assault, on my rock and roll account.  No salt for my stew I'll need to use pepper.  (peter pecker pepper for my stew)
Peter Piper picked a peck of peckers.  He's the rock and roll fluffernutter.  Peanut butter, marshmallow and mayonaise sandwich.  I can rock the house.  It's a sonic assault.  Designed to melt the neural transmitters.
I can rock the house, it's a sonic assault designed to melt the neural transmitters.  Transmission to Mars.   Gitars in the bars.  Pedals galore in the songcrafters whatsap group.  Pedals galore, in Bruno's store and KM he got a million guitars on the wall.
Will you or won't you rockin chair with me?  Will you or won't you rockin chair with me?  Hand me my drum sticks and some southern style ice tea.

first time flirting with auto tune... used it on the vocals after I duplicated the main and bkg track.... then mixed the 4 tracks together... I especially like it on the higher stuff where all the voices are together...
This started out as a single guitar track that I would use for drum practice....then I just kept rocking it with all the other stuff..
1 rhythm guitar track doubled and panned all the way left and right...one channel has phaser and the other chorus.  Harley Benton PRS copy dual coil lead switch position..through the ME-25 boss pedal.  Shecter bass through the ME-25.
Alesis Nitro drums... I think I'm finally learning how to set up the drum user presets to get the individual drums volumes better...
I generally had the toms and cymbals to loud.
MXL condenser mic.  all recorded on the zoom L-20 and mixed on bandlab and audacity and mastered using Landr.

 :P Should I tell them?

This is crazy. It's clear you were just playing, having fun and ad libbing the words. I wasn't paying much attention to the lyrics. Then, did he just say....?

Yep, that works (song & recording) - crazy and weird :)

Autotune - so that was done to the recorded takes(s)?
(I was reading the topic about putting it on your monitors when singing - but I'm guessing that requires kit that's more expensive than most of us have).

I can't hear any weirdness on the vocals - well, er... oh you know what I mean! - so it's definitely not too much autotune. But I also can't tell how much the improvement is listening to the result. I mean, I can't really say "hey you're much more in tune than you usually are!" ;D .... a) because that's rude, and b) because I don't think it's true ;D

I've got melodyne in my DAW, the general wisdom seems to be "use it, you won't hear it, and it saves hours of singing it right" ... I've experimented, it took me hours, and I preferred my slightly pitchy version! LOL (this was a multitrack thing, not the one mic demos).

Oh, and yeah, the Nitro drum balance IS better now, for my money :)

Anyways, cool track.

I will post the lyrics... they are funny (at least I think they are)...some is ad libed some I actually wrote down while learning to "sing" this...

Yes Andy I added auto tune to the recorded tracks.  I love inexpensive and free stuff.  Bandlab is using something called Auto Pitch TM.  They just added it recently.  So I just had to play with it.  I am going to do another mix with just my auto tune vocals so anyone interested can see what it sounds like.  I think though this did make the vocals sound better...

There's a plugin for Audacity that will align a vocal track to a MIDI file. I haven't played with it yet, but it sounds like it could be fun to experiment – just taking any kind of voice recording, and forcing it to be melodic.

I suppose ( I am brand new to Audacity and there are things I really like about and some I don't...probably don't know enough yet..) that I gotta check out plug ins generally and for Audacity...thanks Ted

Completely nuts, gotta lay off the salt myself but dig me some pepper. Drums really do sound more balanced. Well done brother.
Rock on!

Love it Steve! I've been thinking of using autotune at some points the problem on the BR 1200 is that it's very jumpy and not the kind of smooth autotune that is more common now. I've played around with the bandlab and it's quite a nice feature and I like how you can dial in how much you want. Great rocking track, sleazy in a real good way. The drummings spot on and the lyrics are a hoot!

Anything with "Salt" and "Peter" in it goes against my grain. Having said this, I really dig the abandon of this. Knowing that much was ad-libbed makes me wonder about you, but then I have my own psychoses with which to contend. Your posts have a fun factor that is sorely lacking in much of my own. Kudos.
