This song was originally going to be a cover.
See if you can guess what of.  :)

Then, my mate found looperman.com & a spoken rendition of an Irish Eurovision song from 1979 (yes ... that's right).
Together with a healthy dose of Plate Reverb & Analog Delay, the result is this.

I hope you like it.

I know I love that bass...it's actually very Geddy Lee ish... and that is great im book.... I like the way it shines....but then that guitar gets its glory and rises above!  The chimy 80's electronic sounds like The Fixx or perhaps The Flock of Seagulls used...cool...very cool... I haven't heard this kind of mad coolness since the latest Kenneth posts ....

Fantastic production and that guitar is sensational. Maybe I am wrong but I am getting a Simple Minds vibe? Very well crafted track.

Wow! what a magnificent return. Great to hear something new from you, this is fabulous, I'm not sure about Simple Minds or FOSG, it does give me a bit of Malcolm McLaren..

But pure Sharks for me. Awesome.

I listened to this about 6 or 7 times now... this is a great follow up to your bikini kill song...
I am totally digging the sounds and the vocals.  That almost middle eastern thing around 3:00 I really enjoying that...I am starting to like sharks after all

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

I don't know which song it was originally intended to be a cover for, but as an original I do dig what you've done here. Lots going on to hold your interest. Dark and wet with the reverb and delay - it carries a mysterious 80s vibe, to my ears.

I love the atmospherics here, groovy drum and bass and a guitar that sends this piece to the stratosphere. The guitar playing kind of reminds me of Micheal Karoli of CAN, especially his soaring leads on the long track Bel Air. Really cool, the reverb adds a nice touch as well.

First off the bass had me, then the drums and then the delay guitar but it is the vocal that brings it all together, yes a terrific listen.
