I disappeared up my asshole and pulled this out. six and a half minutes long, probably needs to lose six minutes.

anyway.

It is what it is.

You try to do things differently
But it all ends up the same
You try to stem the tide
But you just get washed away
You're running out of options
There's nowhere left to turn
Perhaps a lucky accident
Can get you back on track

You tried reaching for the stars
But got lost in the clouds
Drifting slowly out of sync
Forgetting where you're going
Running backwards up a hill
Holding water in your hands
All the memories slip away
And you just don't understand

There's a light on the horizon
With a glimmer of hope
Just straws to clutch at
Or perhaps a rope
There's a break in the clouds
And the suns shining through
A change in the weather
A better outlook
You can pull yourself back up
And go
Again

You tried to forget yesterday
But today still remains
You just can't see a future
Cos it's yet to be made
Can you create an atmosphere
To bring forth your dreams
Can you bring down the temperature
Relax and feel at ease

There's a light on the horizon
With a glimmer of hope
Just straws to clutch at
Or perhaps a rope
There's a break in the clouds
And the suns shining through
A change in the weather
A better outlook
You can pull yourself back up
And go
Again
And Go Again

I read your description to Mrs R - we fell about laughing ;D

We like the vibe, a lot. We're wondering whether the vocal feels a bit quiet. BUT we're in the middle of mastering another of my acoustic demos - resting my ears from that - so it might be we're used to having the vocal up loud against a single guitar.

Yep... that might be it - I can hear all the lyrics, easily.

Anyways, yep, loving the groove.
And those spacey synths.

And wow - it's been a very long time since I was first to comment on one of yours! :)

I think the world is hibernating...

floaty synthy rottenheaded goodness...

Listening to this on my Tart's handbag.. I can't get used to it.

I think it's not 6 minutes too long..

Me playing catch up surprised there  was not more comments No problem on the six minute I have some I wrote that are longer but so much fun to play that it seems shorter. Love the airy Synths filling the song.

I love the rhythm section and keyboard synth combination. They really work excellent together. The vocals and level work perfect for a real nice original sound. Really like this song a lot????

Yes a cool listen, a really good track, FH improved it a lot, imo the vocal should be be more intimate. This is still a great track enjoyed it lots!!

Great song, James. I dig both mixes, but would prolly give the nod to Mike's version for clarity and bass oomph.

This gets into a very trancey vibe. Makes me wonder what the surprise of a B section would have wrought several minutes in. Such a fan of your vocals. I'm going to queue up a couple of our collaborations.
