Been having a lot of problems with my old MicroBR, SD card problems etc. so i cleaned the card reader and it is working again, tho i get a few card read problems from time to time. Anyroad up, i got out my new uke and recorded two parts and warbled over the top some stream of thought lyrics, most likely inspired by my SD card problems. lots of background noise but hey!

It is what it is.
I've been seeing spots before my eyes
Hearing all the colours black and white
Struggling to sleep and then to rise
Turning all the days into nights
Never in a hundred million years
Could I ever overcome my deepest fears
I've been trying to push myself to move
I think I feel I've maybe lost my groove
Never in a hundred million years
Could I ever overcome my deepest fears
But you know
I'm gonna try
You know
I won't give in
You know
I'm gonna try
I'm gonna keep on
Keep on keeping on
I've been trying to write another song
But the words they all keep coming out all wrong
Never in a hundred million years
Could I ever overcome my deepest fears
But you know
I'm gonna try
You know
I won't give in
You know
I'm gonna try
I'm gonna keep on
Keep on keeping on

Really enjoyed it. Good work on that Uke. The lyrics seems to sum up how January has been to me so far. I like the "Keep on keeping" on sentiment, we gotta keep going.

Lovely tune. Enjoyed the chord changes during the "100,000,000  Years part. A relatable lyric as well.

The hiss around the opening lyric gives it a funky lofi sound

As Blooby says - a lovely tune and great chord changes. The whole track has an intimate poignant quality and that vocal work is superlative. The light accompaniment works perfectly; who cares about the hiss? This is a great song.

So good to hear that even with the possibilities with a macbook and a good condenser mic, it still possible to dust of an old microBR and record a pearl like this and get an excellent recording too !

Nice uke-ing, there James.

Micro BR is still the indispensable part of my recording setup.

I must admit that I could never seem to get my fingers to play chords on a uke.. Another string to your bow.
Excellent vocals as always.

Loving this one. The uke has inspired some great new music from you. I can only agree with other comments that there's some great chord changes in here and the intimate feel works really well. Sounds great and the vocal is spot on as always, your voice sounds great LITLR. Nice work Jim, very nice work.
