this is Steve and the Digitech Trio.  Ha, that could be a band name.  I strummed two chords into the black box and then used the bass and drums it produced for those chords and recorded it.  Along the way I switched the style knob a few times to get variation.  This is a very cool device and well worth it's money.  Just as a looper alone it's so easy to use and very intuitive.
This way though you have to be careful because if you don't get the volume right in the drums and the bass on the recorded track it won't be easy to fix, especially after turning the knobs.

Two rhythm guitar tracks.  2 casio keyboard tracks with various organ sounds.  1 lead guitar (all guitars are the Les Paul using the Boss ME-25)
3 vocal tracks this time using my condenser mic (not crazy about it).  The zoom board handles the condenser mics quite nice with the on board phantom power.

I don't have much of this world's goods.  But I have something not measured by man's equity.  I have treasures in the galaxy far, far away.  In the hidden place no man can see.  You have to enable a certain kind of sensor to behold the treasury, behold the treasury.
I've got love revealed and hidden in one man's life.  I've got a river of love flowing deep inside me.  I've got a river of love flowing deep inside me.
The chasm widens between heaven and earth.  But there is a bridge that is sure.  That is sure.  To easy for most.  You must count the cost.  Too hard for most.  You've gotta believe like a little child what the man said (listen to what the man says).  (like a little child) (listen to what the man says)..
you gotta believe what the man said.
I ain't lookin for a mansion here.  Just give me some wind and watch me soar.  I ain't lookin for a mansion here.  Just give me some wind and watch me soar, watch me soar, watch me soar.  (up on the eagle shore)
I've got a river of love flowing deep inside me.  That river of love is right beside me.  Just give me some wind and watch this eagle rise.  Rise to the sky, rise so high I'm never comin down.  Never coming down.  I've got a river love deep inside me.  It's reaching out to humanity.
It's at least one mile wide.

Yes cool stuff, loving  the vocal mixing which is the stand out on the track, one of your  best in my opinion.

You're doing some great stuff recently. I just don't have the kind of mind to produce lyrics like that, guess that's why I've always done covers and been in covers bands.

The first things that comes thru this song is that it sounds like you've had fun doing it. The lyrics are trippy, or do they hold a special meaning? The instrumentation and the overall sonic palette you're using here is inspired. Lots of stuff happening and several layers to get lost into. Cool stuff!

I have a feeling you enjoy doing songs with several layers in them and are somewhat Proggy by heart? At times it sounds like you're throwing several song ideas worth of stuff into one song whereas others would be harvesting from just one patch. I think i'm going to try doing something similar in the future although i'm generally a simpleton and more driven towards simplified stuff.

I think Blooby nailed it yesterday.  He said I chase a musical idea.  I never really try to do a song really.  I build them piece by piece.  Lately I have been trying to be a bit more structured at the start of the first tracks because sometimes my progressions are so all over the place I can't follow them later.  When it comes to lyrics it's kind of like what is the music speaking to me.  I try and sit and see what the music says to me and write that down and then sing it.  In the case of the Mama song I totally adlibed it after messing up the first set of lyrics I tried to do.  I am sure there are lots of ways to write songs and I don't do it exactly the same way every time but primarily that is it.

Really good song, The vocals, lyrics, keyboards and guitars were really good .. also really enjoyed the bass line.
I always wait at the end to include as bass line in my song, and sometimes not include it at all, but after hearing you song I will try to include the bass line sooner now. Also really liked the vocal layers.
Great work .. very cool song..

Inspired stuff Steve. The overall groove is great, you get lost in it, totally cool. But what I got most out of was those lyrics, really inspiring. Fantastic.

Very cool Stephen.

That Digitech Trio seems like a really cool toy ! And used like this an excellent source for creativity, which you've mastered brilliantly.

Well done !
