Hi all, I'm getting to the age where I walk into a room and wonder why I went there, or go to the wrong cupboard for stuff that's kept somewhere else.
I think we should all value our sanity and while I was thinking am I going mad, this came.

Epiphone Les Paul, PRS SE Custom, Fender Precision. Drums and Strings from GarageBand.

Everyone was nice to me, you'll like it here
Just wait and see, the Doctor said
And I wondered to if he could hear the voices
That were just so clear, In my head

Just take one of these
And in a while, yes in a while
It's just something to relax you, you'll see
And the nurse just smiled

The walls were soft the bed was hard
The window looked out on the yard
Where people stood and stared
And the voices that still bothered me
Of people that I couldn't see
But no-one cared

Just take one of these and in a while
Yes in a while
It's just something to relax you, you'll see
And the nurse just smiled

Everything was taken that was bright or sharp
And I could hear the ticking of a broken heart
No-one came to see me, I wonder why
Nurse stood in the corner began to cry

Instrumental

Why am I here, I asked them why
Now don't you worry, as time goes by
You'll feel much better, it takes a while
Nurse in the corner began to smile

Just take one of these and in a while
Yes in a while
It's just something to relax you, you'll see
And the nurse just smiled

haven't listened yet.  But I love the lyrics.  My wife works at a psychiatric hospital.  She works with the elderly.  I suppose if I were going to have a nurse I would want her.  Having said that it's pretty impersonal place by rules.

A sad vibe with a touch of eventual reality in the lyrics.  You've done some excellent production on this song. I love the ambient depth of the reverb on the guitar solo. Very well done my friend! These words hit close to home for me... let's see, now where did I put the ice cream? Uh oh, I'd better look in the over, lol.

Lovely song and very well produced. Lyrics are great and very relatable as we all get older.

Amazing soundscape albeit a sad subject that most of us try to ignore or at least push to the back of the mind for fear of it happening one day. Love the chord work and the solo is perfect in tone and feel.

StephenM

Real nice haunting guitar work.  Reminds me of Lindsey Buckingham and Mike Campbell.  I was just now thinking about that pill "I have become (un)comfortably numb."
