An older tune we toiled with on and off. Finally mixed it down. Had a bitch of a time trying to mix this and still am not sure where I'm at. Studio One was acting aberrant (in a different way than I am wont to do).

Progress?

Long grey beards sway in the breeze
Hanging from the old oak trees
Sunlight leaks through the leaves
Squirrels and birds chatter and sing

While below on the dappled ground
Amid shades of green and brown
An occasional rustling sound
Unseen creatures here abound

Alone in the forest
Alive with the world
Wherever I turn
Creation unfurled

The scene changes with the light
As day continues toward night
Shifting shadows alter sight
Colors dimmed becoming bright

Machines remove trees to reveal the sky
All creatures must run or die
There's nothing to stop you and I
Humanity's spread ends life

Alas for the forest
Creation undone
What have we won
Our daughters and sons

Paradise meets its doom
Everywhere humans loom
Expanding seizing room
The end is near coming soon

 Like a pestilence we spread
Devouring all for our bread
Without regard for the blood shed
We are death without a head

I hear nothing but ear candy with this one :) I just spend too much time trying to salvage tracks that are beyond repair, and my ears were shot. This helped to bring me back from the funk... Cool playing, cool sounds. The vocals are also to the point!

Great rockin' track, guys and the mix sounds fine to me. I sometimes deliberate for hours/days/weeks over a mix and more often than not it still sounds crap LOL

The mix sounds spot on to my ears. Great guitar work.

Really digging that rhythm guitar..
Goes well with the vocals.  This track is unique because the lyrical content is kind of opposite of the music.
Reminds me of a band with Jethro Tull, Neil Young, Eric Johnson, Iron Horse, and Black Sabbath rockin out

A good rocker Blooby and Lurker! Excellent guitars, lyrics and vocal. You mentioned struggling with the mix, but I don't hear anything out of whack at all. Well done!
