Falling from the Sky

I had this phrase / verse in my head for ages and I realised sometimes it was over a two-four beat and sometimes three-four. So I ended up sort of smashing them together.

It's about falling to your death, basically. With the two time signatures representing calm and chaos alternatingly.

I don't know how you melded this disparate parts together, but kudos for doing so in such a fashion. It makes the jaunty part seem a tad psychotic. Those background vocals are haunting.

This was seriously unique.

more incredibly cool stuff Nick. The cool thing is how you create two different characters from the same one. Big time creativity! Your vocals sound great too.

I suppose the fall doesn't really hurt much.

Had to listen to this when I read the background and other comments. Crazy cool, I love the juxtaposition of the two different elements, and the way you pause it the change between the sections a bit more at about 1:38 and change the song towards the end works really well. What an inspired idea and equally inspired recording! Really nicely recorded and put together as well, excellent stuff!

A song in halves then. The first half is heavily steeped in 60's psychedelic pop whereas the other half is brilliantly done blast of quirkiness. Unique and memorable! Brilliant!

wow loved it , at 1st i thought my ears had gone , then realised what you put in the comments , how you put the song together i do not know , but you have done a brilliant , love the vocals and lyrics , top job .......cheers tony cee
