Here's a countryfied/rockified fun one from Farrell and Lorne Reid. I've been watching the series Roswell on Netflix which brought about these lyrics.
Credits: Songwriters Lorne and Farrell.
Lorne - Rhythm guitars, drums and first lead solo.
Farrell - All vocals, bass, and second double guitars solo.

Welcome To Roswell

V1
A ball of fire raced across the sky
It was coming down, from way up high
A light from a very distant shore
Shook the earth to its very core

V2
A burning pyre, a smoke-stained flyer
Whipped the wind in a frenzied fire
Who are these strangers at our door?
That crashed upon our earthly floor?

CHR
They came from a distant star
Been watching us from afar
Out of the sky they fell
Welcome to Roswell

(LR solo)

V3
Refugees from a dying space
Looking for a better place
They came in a UFO, to find a safer home
But they found the twilight zone

CHR
They came from a distant star
Been watching us from afar
Out of the sky they fell
Welcome to Roswell...

(FJ solo double gtrs)

guitars rock big time....great vocals...love the lead...for me though the rhythm guitars are killing me, they are so good.  Nice drums too.

cool lyrics...gotta say though...they picked the wrong planet...

ha

the lead starting around 2:20 is so Molly Hatchet sounding... wicked good stuff...

Oh yeah this is a fantastic rocking track, Farrell. Those guitars sound just exquisite in both tone and playing. The song has a kinda Leonard Skynard feel to me with that Southern Rock vibe but essentially this is the sound you have nurtured with Lorne. Great production skills and cool lyrics too. Great work, guys; well done.

I love this but I'm going to be a dick. I hear lots of killer guitar, but I don't feel the bass shoring it up. I've downloaded this excellent song already, but it needs a bit more low end push (ooh, that sounded nasty).

Beam me up, Scotty! This is a good one! Cool playing and crispy sounding guitars with quirky lyrics :) Southern rock meets Country tinged shred!

Theres a lot of tasty riffing going on. Really dig this. Nice job all around. Vocals and harmonies right on. Got a Skynard vibe to it.

DarrenG / The Devil's Toupee

This sounds brilliant. A great rock song for sure. The guitars and riffs sound amazing. Nice lyrics too and nicely inspired by that TV series. Sounds interesting , will have to watch it sometime.
