The Jan/Feb 2022 covers fest is once again a tribute to the musicians who died in the previous year.

Thanks again to Mike_S for the festival graphics. The artists Mike has chosen for the Lost in 2021 banner are (left to right) Michael Nesmith, Ron Bushy, Dusty Hill, Chick Corea, Charlie Watts, B.J. Thomas, Gerry Marsden, Ellen McIlwaine, Jimmie Rodgers, Lloyd Price, Don Everly, Stephen Sondheim, Nanci Griffith and Jim Steinman. Of course, the fest is not restricted to just those artists. You can cover any artist who died between Jan 1, 2021 and Dec 31, 2021. We'll accept covers of any song the artist performed on or wrote/co-wrote. However, please keep in mind that the intention is to pay tribute to the artist who died, not the band they were in. So try to choose songs that prominently feature the artist who died in 2021. This can be a problem with some artists, especially drummers such as Charlie Watts and Ron Bushy. Of course, if anyone wants to cover In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, complete with the drum solo, that would be perfectly suitable for the fest. :) But I can't think of any Rolling Stones songs that prominently feature Charlie Watts, so Stones covers would probably not be appropriate for this fest. But maybe you can find something he did outside the Stones where he is featured more prominently.

There are several websites with lists of artists who died in 2021. See this search link:
