This is a live uke/vocal track recorded in my car. I added drums/percussion with my Roland Handsonic & A/E bass at the kitchen table. The swirly, feedbacky sounds are my TC Performer app except for the feedback before & after uke solo, thats all my uke, the br80 & the car speakers.

Don't you ever wonder about me
Don't you want to know how I feel
Bflat Bflatm. F
Could you ever try to see things my way
C. Bm. Bflat
And show me that this love is real

Bflat Bflatm F. F#m. C Cm
Because I feel less than important
And I really wish that made you sad

No I'm not trying to force your hand
And I'm not sitting here counting out grains of falling sand
?? and I'm not trying to rock the boat
I just wish we were sailing in something bigger than this moat

We feel less than important
And I know that makes me sad

I know we share the same disappointments
And it's obvious we grieve in different ways
It's sad that we aren't each others comfort
When comfort as what we need every single day

It all feels less than important
And it's just so damn sad

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

I love the way you constructed the song, and really like the chords you used. Like songs with that sad minor chord melody. And that B flat chord is nice.
Some great vocals and lyrics, it's all great. Love the drums and that feedback at the end.

Great song Hook, those lyrics are really powerful and paint a sad but really vivid picture. Great tune.

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

StephenM

amazing melancholic greatness.... the music is wonderful and the lyrics are soulful and tear away at the fabric of emotion.  The song tells the story of the all too familiar pain we have..... some how we carry on...
big stuff yet again Hook...

Great melding of interesting progressions and potent lyrics. The sparkling percussion and feedback adds a cool texture to the track and that ripping solo steals the show. Brilliant track overall man!

Bluesberry

Did someone say ripping solo......that's the deal......what a way to let the emotions of the lyrics pour out ......cool song

Lots of cool stuff going on here. Interesting melodies and chord progressions and what a lovely guitar solo.

Handsonic drums in a parked car... I'm glad I didn't stumble upon you in the dark.

Really loved the lyrics here. "I'm not sitting here counting out grains of falling sand" is a stellar if albeit depressing image. Your soloing has grown leaps and bounds from the early days on this site. I should mention that spellcheck miscorrected my lasts sentence to say that your soiling has grown. I can't speak to that.
