Blue Christmas was composed the year I was born 1948 (Oops, s'cuse me) by Jay Johnson and composed by Billy Hayes
This song was originally recorded by western actor Doye O'Dell in 1948, but was made popular two years later by Ernest Tubb

In 1957, it was recorded by Elvis Presley for his Christmas album Elvis' Christmas Album

Fantastic JP. Thanks for posting this. One of my favorites. I wasn't aware of how far back this song went.  I had only heard the Elvis version ( and the Elmer Fudd version )
