Loser in Love

I tried the "hit record and try to compose a song" -method and it yielded this song idea. This is super early days for the song, and i'm not sure yet what to think about it. There's only one verse + chorus. Two tracks (one piano with two sounds in different sections, and one church organ) + vocals and a repetitive drum groove yet to be arranged.

I'm kinda hating the last part of the chorus. It reminds me of something... Makes me feel like i'm channeling someone elses tune

Edit 2: I think this is done. I could improve the lyrics and performances, but it's such a mess. STILL i think it KINDA makes sense lyrically. It's about expectations and loneliness. It's a hard breaking story with a comedic bent

ahhh...so many great songs and so little time... first off I love your drum sounds...and the keyboards.... organ, piano... and your singing is very good...cool song...
thing is, we all copy...even the word I just used...copy, I copied!  ha...

Great work .. I wish I could just hit the "Record" button and come up with something like this .. 
It takes me weeks to fiddle around with chord progressions , lyrics etc .. before I can come up with some kind of song.
Again your vocals reminds me of Simple Minds .. but don't recall hearing anything similar to your last song part .. it sounds good !!

I threw the song idea thru the blender. The vocals are (once again) improvised and the song is a mess of different styles...

had to come back in for another listen...yup...it is a very catchy little ditty....  I like the space you made for each instrument...nothing clutters yet there is plenty of interesting details... love the hammond sounding Uriah Heep style organ...that was such a cool thing in the day...I think Abba would have made a smash hit out of this..

I think the hit record and compose a song method has definitely worked. This is really catchy, love the organs, keys melodies on this. Some great lyrics and vocals too. Has an 80's sound which I liked.

What a great composition, brings me back in time a little bit! Great synth melodies and love the bass progression. Catchy for sure!!
