StoryFest (banner image missing)

This song is a long time coming but the story fest motivated me to finish it. Hope a sutto biography is allowed?

There is a backing track of it in the colab section (make it fly) if anyone wants to do it right. Since I can't sing, and now find I can't rap (?) either, will leave it as telling a story of sorts. ;D

As always, any suggestions about how to improve it are always welcome!

They Call Me a Wizard - K J Hill (c) 2021

D2----------------------------------------------------------
They call me a wizard but I don't know why
All I ever wanted was to make things fly
Started as a kid with models and kites
Some even made it to respectable heights
F------------------------------------------------------------
Had to plan a way to get in the air
Found a hang glider, the price seemed fair
Had to learn to fly by running down a hill
Didn't get to high but oh what a thrill
E------------------------------------------------------------
Worked my way up and flew mountains high
I felt like an eagle soaring up in the sky
Then off to the airport to get lessons to fly
But I had no idea that the cost was so high
--------------------------------------------------------------
LEAD
F-------------------------------------------------------------
Learned all about flight physics in school
Found those theories will always rule
Went on to get a license and a real airplane
Logged lots of hours but still not entertained
D------------------------------------------------------------
I built a folding wing that flew like a bird
Turned out to be a hit - or so I've heard
Then I got obsessed with designing more
What shapes can I build that can still soar
D2----------------------------------------------------------
They call me a wizard but I don't know why
All I ever wanted was to make things fly
So I'm not a wizard, not magic just science
Just the right knowledge to achieve compliance

The story and music are very cool indeed Hardlock! I can hear the S.F. 60's and 70's sound Stephan mentioned. I enjoyed this one a lot!

This is a great story and very well told. The fact that it is autobiographical makes it even better.

Singing is not just vocal chords. It's phrasing and emphasis too. You've got that going.

The lyrics are really strong, and the music carries everything along.

I'm digging the solo.
