In tribute to Stephen Sondheim who died on 26 November 2021.

He wrote the songs from "A little night music" which included this song, and several other well known productions such as Gypsy, Sweeney Todd, the lyrics for West Side Story etc.

I had the sheet music in the key of Eb and found the key of F more suitable for my vocal, so used the transpose function on my keyboard to raise it by one tone, just thought you'd like to know that! I found this recording to be rather hard work at first but it soon built up.

Beautiful tribute. I heard of his passing last month, I didn't recognize the name at first but he's certainly done brilliant work. Lovely vocals for this, totally fits for the song.

I didn't know Stephen Sondheim, so I looked on Wiki: impressive biography!

well I knew him without knowing him since he did the lyrics of West Side Story, the music being by Leonard Berstein

I really like your voice
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
