What Headphones are you using for Mixing/Producing your songs

I'm looking at upgrading/changing my Headphones, I have really old headphones and my wife is looking for a Christmas gift to buy me so I figured I could use decent headphones. I've been looking at different reviews and will probably buy the
Beyerdynamics DT770 Pro 80 Ohms or 250 Ohms .. or maybe the Sony MDR 7506

I'm curious to see what you guys/girls are using as headphones to create/mix your songs.
Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

I recently got a pair of Beyerdynamics DT990pro 250 ohm for mixing/editing and recording DIed stuff. They are open back so probably not so great for monitoring mic tracked stuff where bleed would be an issue.  Previously I had used my old Beyerdynamic DT100 for everything which are closed back so great for sound isolation, but not particularly detailed and quite tiring over long periods.  The DT 990 pros are an absolute revelation.  They are comfortable and detailed and have great clarity.  The only thing I'm not keen on is that they have a curly - and therefore slightly short lead.  But despite this I thoroughly recommend them.

From what I have read about the DT770 pro is that they are pretty much the same only closed back.

AKG K701 are what I'm using. They're actually are kind of saving my bacon because my monitors colors the sound too much(tap on s8)

Keep in mind that these are open back headphones, you may end up with some bleed. Because of this I have some various closed back type headphones for tracking.

Comfort is very important, I can have these on hours at a time and not feel any fatigue. But more importantly they need to be a good reference that don't add color to the sound

I use a Beyer dynamic DT 990 Pro, which gives me complete satisfaction

Recently I bought a pair of monitoring speakers ADAM T7V which are really excellent,

and I am surprised by the corrections that this double listening modality brings me to make...
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

I have three sets stienhiesers (spelled Wrong), Tascam, and Berringer While the stien is great and expensive I trend to use the Tascam more while all are closed back The good one picks up every nuisance of sound and are great for listening to music but a lot of what I hear from them does not translate to the speakers and have found the bass is more articulated in the head phones.  The TAscam HDX seem to work for me

Been considering these monitors. Or possibly Yamaha or Kali

A pair of really old Seinnheiser HD 485s. They do a pretty good job I think, but I think whatever you get you eventually aclimatise to them and their levels. I mix on these and then blast through a pair of cheap but good Mackie CRX speakers to double check. I ain't gonna make a studio engineer, but it's good enough I think.

the cheap skull candy stuff from walmart or a 20 dollar pair on sony and a 10 pair from dollar general...

but I only use phones to rough out a mix or for listening or for recording tracks when I am "singing"... or when people are in the house and tired of hearing my music through the monitors...
lol... i am a bargain kind of guy and probably why my music will always sound like it!  lol

I also have some AKG K701 and I agree they are very comfortable and with relatively flat output. Like Guitarron mentioned they are open and they make a bit of noise.

I remember using them at work for a week before my colleagues mentioned they could hear my music really loud. i was a bit embarrassed because I was listening to those 3 hr synth videos on youtube and to... brown noise. Fortunately I was not watching p.  ;D

Anyway, Jacob Collier has some AKG too. I may be wrong, but not him!

Oh, and I recently bought some Sony MDRXB50AP/B Extra Bass Earbuds.

Not the best for mastering, but good for recording. They are not very comfortable, though.
