This one started life as a synth song. At that time i thought i'd stop playing guitar and bought a synth. I did one song with that synth. Wife thought i'd better stick with the guitar :)
The original song idea was slightly comedic and was about a guy who was living in 80's era Bronx and was scared of everything. The choruses were a response to his blight: Learn some karate moves! Then i forgot about this song and once tried to do a synthwave type of version which turned way darker (and better!), but i got stuck after the chorus.

Now i got inspired with the latest mixing success, and thought to record this as a "dark rock" -type of song. It turned out far more psychotic than i thought it would... But at least i got to the end.

This is once again "fix it in the mix" -type of a rush job. I might do this properly at some point... if i didn't manage to exorcise this idea out from my head with this version :)

I GOT FRIENDS (THEY'RE IN MY HEAD)

I got some beer
I run out of friends
I got bodies laying on my bed
I got voices stuck in my head

You see me coming
You better beware
You got some choices... Now you're closing death
I got some voices stuck in my head

CH:
Learn some karate moves
Build a new set of rules
Learn some karate moves

I got some beer
I run out of friends
I got bodies laying on my bed
I got voices stuck in my head

You see me coming
You better be scared
I got friends...They're all dead
I got voices stuck in my head

CH:
Learn some karate moves
Build a new set of rules
Learn some karate moves

Outro
My head, my head
They're dead, they're dead
etc.

This time i used distortion pedal and i'm already regretting it :) Also i shaked the chords only in the second take and now the discrepancy between the takes bothers me...

wow...man Z you are busy as me!  I love this crazy rocker...it's like the lead singer from the Scorpions joined a new band or maybe is moonlighting with his own music but doesn't exactly want everyone to know...but when i hear your voice here I think of him...and he is great btw (to me)!!!
I love the distorted guitar and have to admit the lyrics cracked me up after reading your descriptor.  I think it would be ok though to keep making noise with the synth...ha...
I dig your vibe ZZZZ!!!

Another great one Zol. I, for one, totally dig that distortion, definitely doesn't sound out of place or anything. Great mixing on your part here too, I just got a new phone and I'm checking the speakers on it. The bass is nice and strong, doesn't get lost like in most things playing out on phone speakers. The song itself good old serial killer rock n roll... what's not to love?

A cool rocker Zoltan. It's as catchy as they come. This will be in my head for a while. A good one!

I like music that is a little bonkers or has a little edge to it so I really dig this. Very quirky and like you say a little psychotic. Great lyrics and delivered with style. Awesome job.

That lead at the start so reminds me of the Cure, Pornography Era. Dig this tune brother, very cool.
