I saw the title and thought "ah, don't need one... I got the Brainworx stuff" 

All I can say is: GET IT NOW DO NOT DELAY OR HESITATE

I can confirm this is a FABULOUS tool for quick mastering.

I used the later "Daddy" version for a lot of experimenting a few months back. In fact, I nearly even bought it (but subsequently went for one of their subscription bundles when the website's purchasing pages pointed out that for what I was paying for two plugins, I could have EVERYTHING for a year... I did the maths and decided that a subscription was a much better deal for me...).

Actually, the Classic version for free here would be easier to use than the Daddy version, which is easy enough itself. In fact, the Classic might possibly be better if you're after a quick master in a few minutes. The full version has a few more knobs that will do more stuff but won't make it any easier to decide whether you should do it or not!!

I'm not actually using masterdesk at the moment (unless I want a quick master on the stereo bus of the mix, just to see where things might be going later).

At the moment I'm using two other Brainworx tools in conjunction with Studio One's Multi-band Dynamics Compressor. I've got several more bx mastering tools from the subscription, but I'm sticking with the chain I've got at the moment for my "remastering old stuff" project. I rather liked some of the others better, but it gave me too many options and I decided to go with a simpler chain that with a few tweaks I actually understand works for all the stuff I did on the BR1600.

GRAB IT.

I don't use the extra bells and whistles on it for sweeting etc, because I'm already doing that earlier in my chain with the other tools... But this thing is the magic ingredient - the true peak limiter at the end that I've got set to whack another 6db on without hurting the mix. You could master with just this.

HOWEVER... this free bx-masterdesk Classic one does much the same, in an easier to understand package.
