Here's a song i've been slaving on for a long time (on and off). The song idea is based on the demands put on modern man ;)

MODERN MAN 1977

V
Sometimes it's easy
Sometimes it takes a lot to be man
Feeling frisky
Buy a new fragrance
Start from the legs
And shave it all away
Put a nice sweet towel
Around your head

CH:
Smooth like a baby
Talking to a new toy
I'm just so damn sexy
You've done it to me

Smooth like a baby
Talking to a new toy
I'm just so damn sexy
You've done it to me again

This song is spiritually inspired by Roxy Music and Amanda Lear especially (considering that my vocals sound like that OMG!).

Funky. This brings me back to 80s reminds me kind of Tears for Fears or Flock of seagulls. Great job. Well mixed and mastered. That's the bass sound I love. Did you track you bass live. Reminds me of a P bass.

Thanks! :) Yes those are live tracks. The bass was played with Yamaha BB-414 (cheap early 2000's model) that's supposed to give both P / J bass sound. It's the bass i'm using on all my tracks. Direct with some fairy dusty added depending on a song.

oh yes...this is very cool...I get GuitarRons comps here...very much that 80s techno pop rock sound that i really dig...at times it veers into a talking heads vibe, especially that bass....
cool stuff...got over quick though
love the drum sounds as well....I would love to get an acoustic kit but if I do I will have to get another room or get rid of some stuff in the family music studio that i likely wouldn't be allowed to get rid of...killer stuff

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

This is great! It does have the 70's swagger of Love is the Drug, but I can also hear some A-ha on the electronic pop of it. It's tight, infectious and brilliantly put together. Great work.

Thanks! The drums were done with Jamstix (a stock 70's disco set with lots of EQ + compression. Usually i layer drums, but this was just a one set).
I've been yearning to dust off the electric kit as it's faster and more fun to just bang the drums. And then i can introduce timing issues into the drum tracks also :D

Don't usually like playing the 'sounds a bit like' game but this had me thinking of early Japan, Adolescent Sex era maybe.

Tight yes and nicely recorded.

Great stuff

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Yes, It's got that roxy music feel to it..great funky beat and bass. The drums are very good. Great music all round and production on this.
