gone to ground in the eiderdown
days of monsters you can't face
the earth is scorched from the circus on the edge of town
the cigarettes of clowns started the blaze

love won't always tell you what you want to hear
a word in your shell-like - all my hopes and fears

'cause i ran out of bridges to burn
i was waiting for Medusa to turn
my heart in to a stone objet d'art
la-di-da-di-da
la-di-da-di-da

but you put a mirror in-between
medusa's stony gaze and me
eyes of grey like objet d'art
la-di-da-di-da
la-di-da-di-da

words inked in blood on a vellum page
poets swooning in their hemlock haze
the windows of the buildings catch the sun ablaze
a fire-sale for the remnants of the day

love won't always tell you what you want to hear
a word in your shell-like - all my hopes and fears

'cause i ran out of bridges to burn
i was waiting for Medusa to turn
my heart in to a stone objet d'art
la-di-da-di-da
la-di-da-di-da

but you put a mirror in-between
medusa's stony gaze and me
eyes of grey like objet d'art
la-di-da-di-da
la-di-da-di-da

Like this one enjoying it with my morning coffee waiting for the sun to come up it has that early Neil Young feel to it good way to start my morning

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

Love the imagery in the lyrics.  The clarity in the mix is right up there.  Oh and the song is great.

refreshing stuff...

love the ehoey vocals in the right ear at times...cool...and the little ahhhh's... all the vocal embellishments amidst your wonderful strumming and psychadelic noodling really make this a great tune...
I think though to really get the Tim Green vibe one needs to listen through your list an hour or so at a time... then it's like this light just starts to glow...big time star.

Terrific song. Medusa's stony gaze - brilliant. Uplifting feel to it. Well mixed and mastered. I like the tremelo on the guitar on the intro, pre chorus/chorus. Nice job Tim.

Greentastic! Really dig the tremoloed guitars on this. And for some reason I can't quite put my finger on, it reminds me of an early 70s type of song. Not specific to any song, but more of the time itself. Sort of a time capsule.

Loved it!
