I Met StephanM in Salisbury. NC last week. He graciously brought a small arsenal of goodies with him and we made music and instantly became friends. It was surreal to meet someone from Songcrafters, it was a first for us. We had a blast. Cant wait to do it again.
This track was Steve on acoustic and myself on bass. He quickly sent 3 drum tracks that i comped together.
I sang some harmony oohs and ahhs before i even wrote a melody or lyrics-that was a first for me
The bass has some fuzz on it for some strange reason-the gain was fine on the wav fiie so i just went with it
power chord rhythm doubled a little slide and a little lead

Never Met- North Carolina MET

I'm meeting friends that I have never met

Making some memories I can't forget - I won't regret

Carved out a piece of time - fears are lost. - it's so sublime

The journeys been long and un predictable. -but it's spiritual

Let the music take me. Let it guide me.

The chorus verse and a tune. let it take me.

Working with friends that I never met. On the internet

The music still has all the feel

Hard work can be sometimes challenging - but enlightening

Thoughts turned into something that is real

Let it transform you. It comes alive

A song for your friends when you arrive This is our tribe

No worries -it was a subtle distortion. eq took the fizziness off it.

This is very cool - got a kind of West Coast Sixties psych vibe to my ears. And so great that you were able to get the ideas and essential tracks recorded in your short meeting. The extra bits added after your MET fit right in - I reckon there was a good foundation to build upon.

Well done, gents.

METs are the best thing ever, you meet and become friends for life, connected by music.
This is a fab tune, reminds me something BTO would do.

Guys, sounds like you had a great experience meeting up, fantastic. And what a bloody corker of a song you both made to put the icing on the cake. Great tune, great lyrics, great guitars. It really flows and totally carries the feeling of the day into the tune. Rock on guys.

Great chords, and I love that vocal melody. So good! Some excellent guitar tones, playing and layering going on here. The backing vox add a lovely depth and sweetness too. It feels like a superb and spontaneous song - the wonders of the MET! Amazing work by both of you.
