It's a song about a spreadsheet. One of our brain-the-size-of-a-planet engineers made this hugely complicated spreadsheet then sent it to me saying everything you need is in here. "I don't know what to do with this shit" was my reaction. It was all locked down and protected to the point where you couldn't select what you needed even if you found it.

A couple of days earlier I had seen Squid supported by a band I'd not heard of called PVA. They blew me away and kind of inspired the feel of this song. I've seen them a couple of times since in their own right.
