So...

I though I would try another Early Years cover. It's a hard task trying to pick one... for a lot of reasons, but I decided to try and give my take on one of ORH's tunes. At first I attempted another track "Just a Song", but after a couple of days of trying and pretending to myself it wasn't too bad, it dawned on me my version was actually pretty dreadful, so thankfully I came to my senses and went back and picked a different track. This one I found easier.

Like the man says... it is what it is. Hope it's ok...

Loving those caveman drums that starts it all off.

James has a very distinctive way of strumming and you've captured it perfectly here and even added your own style to it.

I love how you've arranged it and how it together with your voice gives it a darker edge.

Well done Mike!!! A great tribute

You're on fire lately, Mike! Not an oldrottenhead song I was familiar with, but this version is great. Your vocal and guitar sounds a lot like the man himself.

Going to check out the original next.

I listened to the original first.

Fine song with a dark vibe and the interpretation by you gives some extra flavor. Everything works nicely and the production is just top class!

Magnifique! décidément j'aime ce festival!
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Fabulous Mike, great melancholy to this song of James'. Excellent jangly guitar, groovin bass and a real foreboding vocal to top things off.

Cheers Mike, sorry for being so late to the party but as you know i was on holiday last week. Mike kindly mailed this to me before posting, and i was blown away as i listened on a Spanish balcony watching the sun go down whilst quaffing a lovely Rioja.
Thank you so much Mike, am now back home listening on the PC monitors and blown away again.
